Grant Holt feels Aston Villa should deal in Marc Albrighton.
The winger comes off contract next month.
"If you're out of contract, that's all you can do - work as hard as possible to impress the manager," said Holt to the Birmingham Mail.
"The only way you can show him is day in, day out in training and when you get those chances in matches - and that's what you need to do.
"Marc has done that when he got his chances and we all know he is a very good player and a fantastic lad."
