Scottish actor Gerard Butler believes Celtic should leave the Scottish Premier League to join England's top flight.
The 43-year old Paisley-born star of 300, Law Abiding Citizen, Rock'n'Rolla and Machine Gun Preacher is a huge Hoops fan and admits he would love to see them competing in the world's best English Premier League.
"I'd love them to have a crack at the Premier League but I understand the issue that they can't jump right into the Premiership," he told Record Sport.
"It's a tough one but it would be great to see them in the English league.
"I don't know if it's fair. I'm sure they'd be a few other clubs in the other English divisions going, 'Oh wait a minute, what about us?'
"And then what would happen with the Scottish teams? But if you forget about the technicalities then it would be great."
