Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway refused to rap his players after their Capital One Cup defeat at Bristol City.
Owen Garvan's stunning consolation came too late to cause any real worry amongst the Ashton Gate faithful but Holloway had few complaints about the performance his much-changed side put in.
"I can't be too critical," he said. "What I've got to do is stay calm and encourage my lads. I saw a lot out there that I was pleased with.
"No one's heads drops, no one made any mistakes, they just scored two very good goals. Ours wasn't bad either but it came a bit late.
"Some of my young lads did very well and got a bit of experience coming to a place like this."
