Holland keen to remain with Austria Vienna

James Holland says he is prepared to continue furthering his development with Austria Vienna before considering a move to a bigger club.

The 23-year old former Newcastle Jets and AZ Alkmaar midfielder is on the verge of helping his club secure the Austria Bundesliga title and says he will stay around at the Franz Horr Stadium until he is good enough to move up the grades.

"Who knows what will happen," he told SBS. "If something comes up outside of Austria which is impossible to ignore, you'd look at it but I am really happy at this club.

"I'm playing each week, improving my game all the time and playing in team which plays some excellent football.

"To win a title here would be special and the cup would be an extra bonus. I've talked to the club about a new contract and the fact it has activated the two-year clause in my existing contract is fine with me, especially since next season we'll be in the Europa League at the very least.

"If we win the title then we could possibly even be in the Champions League next season."
