Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric: Leicester experience good for me

Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric says he values his time with Leicester City.

Although he struggled at City, he rediscovered his goalscoring touch in Germany. He's now bagged 91 goals in 206 Bundesliga matches, with only Robert Lewandowski netting more often in the division since his arrival.

He credits that form with his experience at City and has said that he simply wasn't fit enough to excel at the King Power Stadium.

He told Sky Sports: “I have been here [at Hoffenheim] almost seven years and I am very happy here. My family is happy here, we enjoy the life. Everything is perfect since I left Leicester City.

“I have to be honest also, I learned so much at Leicester. It was a big experience for me to see something different. It was kind of my fault I was not 100 per cent fit at that time but I learned a lot.

“It was something amazing that I will never forget. That is for sure why I am also this kind of player and person at Hoffenheim.

"A lot of people asked me why I stayed at Hoffenheim because in the summer I was a free agent. But there was one reason: how much I love this club, how I feel here. After everything I have achieved here, I still feel I could achieve more.

“I am playing well, feeling well and I hope I will continue like this, scoring goals, winning games and making a bigger history at this club. I think it is better to be first in the village than second in the town!"
