Hodgson giving away no secrets ahead of England selection

England manager Roy Hodgson is giving away no hints as to who he will select for the upcoming Euro2014 qualifier against Slovenia.

The Three Lions meet the Slovenians at Wembley on November 15 in their fourth Group E fixture with Hodgson due to announce his roster on Thursday.

There has been speculation that returning Arsenal winger Theo Walcott and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, who has been sidelined since the end of August, could be selected but Hodgson preferred to keep his cards close to his chest when quizzed on his possible squad.

"If there are going to be surprises, we'll have to wait and see. I couldn't possibly give away any information now," Hodgson said.

"All players who are English and have any ability are in my thoughts because the number of English players we have to choose from dwindles by the day.

"So it's very rare that there will be an English player who has got the ability and who is still ready to play for England, who has not retired or who is obviously not in his best form, anyone else is always in our thoughts.

"That will include players coming back from injury who have been regular members of the squad in the past."

England currently sit top of their group with nine points from three Euro2016 qualifiers while Slovenia are second with two wins and a loss form their three outings.
