Aleksandr Hleb is angry with former Arsenal teammate Wojciech Szczesny over the claims made by the Juventus goalkeeper.

Hleb, who announced his retirement last week, is furious by suggestions from the Pole that he "loved to drink".

"Honestly, I did not see him at Arsenal. We didn't see him, didn't meet," Hleb told Pressball. "He was not in the first team at all. I don't even know where he trained. It's just interesting how he knows how I spent time in London.

"It doesn't hurt, but it's unpleasant to me, because it's not true.

"Then at Arsenal in general the team was almost non-drinker. We went to the clubs, and the guys had Coca Cola. And I'm with them. When I read his nonsense, I was in shock."
