Ottmar Hitzfeld has announced his retirement after Switzerland's World Cup elimination by Argentina.
The German had already announced he would bow out after this World Cup in Brazil and ex-Lazio boss Vladimir Petkovic signed the contract to take over in January.
"My work as a Coach ends here," Hitzfeld told reporters after the 1-0 loss in Sao Paulo.
"I am proud of my career. I'll work for TV - at least I don't lose matches when I work on TV.
"I have a quiet life in front of me."
