Andreas Hinkel admits Celtic must be more consistent if they are to retain the SPL championship for a fourth successive time. "Rangers and ourselves haven't played that consistently. We have dropped points against smaller teams," Hinkel said.
"We have to perform like we did in the last few home games. We have to stay together and work hard in every training session. If we do that, we can have success."
The former Stuttgart and Sevilla player added: "I think in the last three home games we have had a very good team performance.
"All the players have been very focused. We have shown that we are ready for the title race."
The Germany international concedes it is too early to talk about retaining the championship, especially with another Old Firm game to come.
The 27-year-old said: "If you think too much about the table, it's not good. You have to think about the opponent.
"We have to keep going the way we have done in the last few games.
"But it's too early to talk about the title."
