Higginbotham questions Tottenham striker Kane - 'Can he do it next season?'

Ex-Stoke City defender Danny Higginbotham has questioned whether Tottenham striker Harry Kane can replicate this season's sparkling form next term.

In his column for the Stoke Sentinel, Higginbotham questions whether or not 21-year old Kane can kick on and add to his wonderful tally of 30 goals or if he will be hit by the second-year blues

'All eyes on the Tottenham teamsheet at Stoke on Saturday will be directed at Harry Kane after his fantastic first full season in senior football,' wrote Higginbotham ahead of Stoke's meeting with Spurs on Saturday.

'He's been a real breath of fresh air and being an old-school centre forward he's been able to bully what I call new-school centre halves.

'But as well as Kane has done this season, the big question remains: Can he do it next season, or will he succumb to second-season syndrome?

'Managers and players will be wise to his threat next season and will make special provision.'
