Guus Hiddink has quickly recognised the influence John Terry and Frank Lampard has at Chelsea.
Hiddink said: "They are the natural leaders of Chelsea. They are also what I call the traditional club people.
"After I had introduced myself to all the players, I had some private talks in my office with them.
"What struck me then, after all the contacts and talks I had had with everyone at the club, is that they [Terry (above) and Lampard] had such a positive attitude towards the club and the team.
"They are not the sort of people who keep going on about what has happened in the recent past. Nobody said a single negative thing about my predecessor [Luiz Felipe Scolari]. In every chat I had, I found that so positive of the lads.
"This impression is made even stronger by the things I get from my right hand man Ray Wilkins. Once a great player, he is now a modern coach who knows what is required from the players in the Premier League.
"He is a really intelligent guy in football and I am going to love working with him."
