Houston Dynamo have failed in an attempt to sign Hibs striker Derek Riordan.
The former Celtic forward is off contract in June, but Dynamo wanted to sign him immediately as a DP.
The 28 year-old forward has left the door open to moving to MLS at the end of the Scottish Premier League season.
It's been a frustrating week for Dynamo, having also lost out to New England Revolution for Benny Feilhaber.
