Hibernian boss Mixu Paatelainen insists he is looking to strengthen the squad and not sell the likes of skipper Rob Jones or any other player. Hibs rejected "out of hand" a £100,000 offer for Jones from Colchester on Tuesday.
The Easter Road boss, said: "Colchester made a bid for Rob, we rejected that and the matter is closed.
"There's always speculation, especially when the window opens, and there is again.
"But I'm not worried at all. We are a club who don't need to sell and we are looking to strengthen our squad, and not the other way around.
"To my knowledge, nobody is thinking about contacting us regarding Steven Fletcher, so there is no point in speculating."
