Hibernian have made three new signings, bringing in Matt Thornhill, Martin Scott and Richie Towell in a busy transfer day for the Easter Road club.

22-year right-sided midfielder Thornhill has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal from Nottingham Forest after being with the English club since his youth academy days.

He has played close to 40 league games for Forest and has also previously enjoyed loan spells with Brighton & Hove Albion and Cheltenham Town.

19-year old Irish defender Towell has joined Hibs from Celtic on a loan deal which will keep him in Colin Calderwood's squad until the end of the season.

In addition to these two, Hibs have also snapped up 24-year old midfielder Martin Scott from Ross County on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
