Hibernian net late equaliser against Dundee United

A late goal from Paul Hanlon has helped Hibernian record a 2-2 draw at home against Dundee United.

David Goodwillie kicked off proceedings with a 2nd minute goal for the visitors before doubling the lead after the half-hour mark but Hibs rallied, first through Souleymane Bamba, before Hanlon grabbed a point with an 89th minute goal which was deflected in from a Danny Galbraith drive.

Although it was a point saved by Hibernian, Dundee boss Peter Houston felt that the 78th minute sending off of Danny Swanson for a second yellow card cost his side the maximum.

"I've no complaints with the sending-off at all - I'm disappointed and frustrated with Danny," he said.

"He naturally feels he's let the boys down and I feel he's let them down as well.

"The sooner Danny grows up and learns, the better for me.

"All the favours between him and me are all one way just now. "I want Danny Swanson on the park because he did us a good turn last season.

"But he's no use to us getting himself sent off."
