Hibernian boss Mixu Paatelainen agrees with disgruntled supporters that the squad is not strong enough. Hibs were defeated at the weekend 2-0 by bottom club Inverness.
"Believe me, this is my job, my everything," the former Hibs striker told the Evening News.
He added: "I understand, totally and utterly and agree with the supporters that the quality of play is not good enough, that's why I am working very hard to improve and do well.
"We don't have enough quality in the squad at the moment, we are trying to rebuild but there are boundaries we have.
"I'm not saying every player we have is rubbish or not good enough, more than half of them are fantastic, but there's always an element of risk if you are dealing in that sort of wage bracket with the players you bring in."
While Paatelainen will continue his quest to improve his squad, he insists Hibs have enough quality to finish in the top six.
He said: "Our aim, first and foremost, is to qualify for the top six and then fight for Europe.
"It's still well within our reach but we must work much, much harder, especially on the pitch."
