Heurelho Gomes has confirmed Watford want him to play on next season.
The Brazilian goalkeeper is coming off contract at the end of next month.
And he told Voetbalzone: "If the season resumes, I have to talk to the club.
"They probably want me to renew my contract. Last season I was 99 percent sure I would quit, but then they said they wanted to continue with me for at least another year. Right now, I don't know what's going to happen next season.
"I haven't played much this season, but I felt fit during the training sessions and during the games in which I did play.
"I'm 39 years old, but I might be able to go on for a year. My reflexes are no longer what they once were, but I really never want to quit football. You just have to realise that you can't go on forever.
"I think I can play at a good level for one more year. Then I will have to realise that it is time to quit."
