Hertha Berlin are pushing Liverpool to open talks about a deal for Marko Grujic.
Grujic had a successful loan with Hertha last season and BILD says the Germans now wish to buy him outright.
Such a move would suit the Serb, though the deal's biggest obstacle at the moment is Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp wants Grujic to do his preseason with Liverpool so he can make an up-close assessment before deciding whether to keep the midfielder or sell.
However, Hertha want Grujic to join them immediately, with the Bundesliga preseason training now well underway.
