Aston Villa have revealed that Chris Herd has returned to training following an ankle injury.
The 22-year old Australian midfielder has been sidelined since damaging ankle ligaments on December 10 but could be set for a February 25 return.
Villa take on Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium when the Premier League returns from the upcoming FA Cup weekend and Herd should be available after missing the last 12 matches in all competitions.
