Hercules are chasing Espanyol striker Raul Tamudo.

Valentín Botella, the Hercules president, has declared he wants to sign Tamudo next month to boost their promotion prospects.

Hercules currently lie in second-place in the Segunda Liga behind Real Sociedad.

Tamudo is still to decide if he will see out this season with Espanyol or seek a move away in the January market.
