Henry thrilled to score sublime goal as NYRB secure come-from-behind win

Thierry Henry was on fire as New York Red Bull came from behind to beat Columbus Crew 3-1 at Red Bull Arena on the weekend.

The former Arsenal star netted twice as the Red Bulls overcame a tardy start to go third on the Eastern Conference table, equalizing in the ninth minute, assisting Dax McCarty's go-ahead goal, and then completing the comeback with a brilliant curling finish from a corner.

Henry admitted that it was a nice goal and spoke of his delight at helping guide New York to a vital victory.

"I've scored some OK goals in my career but this is not a bad one," said Henry. "He was off his line, and too much off the first post, so I tried. I don't know what I felt. I was like, wow, again?

"I don't know what it is with us. We don't start well, and somehow we come back into the game every time. But you can't do that when playoff time is around."
