Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson faces an uncertain future in the summer.
The goalkeeper has been at Nottingham Forest on loan this season for regular first team football.
While he had an impressive start to the campaign, a subsequent injury has seen him miss most of the season.
Per the Manchester Evening News, Henderson could be out until August as he requires an operation for a thigh tear.
He will then have to prove he is first team material at United, or quickly secure a loan away from the club.
The Red Devils are said to be in the market for a new keeper, while veteran David De Gea may still earn a contract renewal.
