Schalke general manager Horst Heldt is confident that Julian Draxler will remain at the club despite frenzied interest from Arsenal.
The 20-year old attacking midfielder was the subject of an official enquiry from the Gunners last month and it is expected that they will return in the summer but Heldt believes the promising talent will stay put in Gelsenkirchen.
"Arsenal officially enquired about the services of Julian Draxler during the recent transfer window. We did not want him to leave," he told Sport1 media.
"Of course, it was big money on offer, but still it was not enough for us.
"I am convinced Julian will be playing at Schalke past the end of the season. We are able to offer him enough ambition."
