Hearts are wrapping up a deal for Manchester United fullback Demetri Mitchell.

The Daily Mail says Hearts have agreed a deal to take Mitchell on loan until the end of the season.

Hearts, who are currently fifth in the Scottish Premier League, could give Mitchell his Tynecastle debut against Hibernian in the Scottish Cup later this month.

The 20-year-old is a 6ft full-back with natural left-footed ability and has been a frequent figure in United's under 23s side so far this season, making 12 appearances and scoring four goals.

Hearts boss Craig Levein has had to fight off interest from Premier League clubs for the youngster, who opted for first-team football in Scotland.
