Newcastle United signing Garang Kuol is in talks with Scottish side Hearts about a potential loan move.

The Australian, 18, agreed a deal to join Newcastle last September, but moved to the club this month from A-League side Central Coast Mariners.

Kuol is now considering a number of options, having played for Australia at the Qatar World Cup.

Newcastle consider the teenager a longer-term prospect and want him to get game time on loan.

It is hoped that record signing Alexander Isak can return to the first team after injury in the next week, where he would add to forwards Callum Wilson and Chris Wood.
