Hearts are interested in Celtic striker Derek Riordan.

Hibs have dismissed speculation that they had made enquiries for the player who left Easter Road in June 2006.

But city rivals Hearts are thought to be lining up an offer for the 25-year-old forward, says BBC Sport.

Celtic are prepared to sell Riordan but are believed to want a fee in excess of £500,000 for him.
