Heart of Midlothian full-back Ryan McGowan insists he still holds hopes of representing Australia.
The 22-year old Adelaide-born defender has played for his country of birth at U17, U20 and U23 level but is yet to be capped by the senior team.
Recently, McGowan was asked if he would think about playing for Scotland - the country his parents hail from - and said it was something he would think about.
But following Hearts' 5-1 triumph in Saturday's Scottish Cup final, in which he scored against Hibernian, McGowan made it clear that he wants to play for Australia.
"I said I would consider it, that's all.
"I've played all of my international football for Australia. I want to play for the Socceroos.
"If Scotland did come calling, then of course I would consider it. But I am focusing on playing for Australia.
"I suppose I've scored a goal at Hampden now. Maybe another in a World Cup qualifier?""I was asked what I would do if Scotland asked me to play for them," he said.
