Heart of Midlothian manager John McGlynn will meet with Scott Robinson and his agent next week regarding the players Tynecastle future.
The 21-year old midfielder refused to take his place on the substitutes' bench for last week's victory over Aberdeen after falling out of favour under McGlynn.
Robinson has not been suspended by the club but McGlynn has revealed that the club will speak directly to him and his representative to work out a solution.
"It's an internal matter which we're keeping internal," he said.
"We've got a meeting early next week where we'll take discussions further.
"He's not been (suspended). There's nothing formally taken.
"His agent wanted to represent Scott and his agent is away. It was at his request that we wait until next week."
