Manchester United fullback Demi Mitchell is on the brink of returning to Hearts.

Mitchell, 21, spent four months on loan with the Scottish Premiership side earlier this year and excelled as he started 11 games and scored once.

"We're nearly over the line with Demi," Hearts manager Craig Levein said after their 1-0 win at Kilmarnock on Saturday.

"I don't want to go into the details but it would be another loan deal.

"We need a striker, we need a left-sided player and we need a centre-back."
