HEAD'S GONE! Three-year old boy denied personalised Easter egg due to Man Utd star Rooney!

A three-year old boy was almost denied a personalised Easter egg - because his name is inspired by Wayne Rooney.

Staff at Thornton's in Bury, Lancashire, were asked to write Rooney Scholes' name on a chocolate egg on Saturday but they said "no" claiming there could be legal repercussions.

A shop worker was eventually persuaded to write the toddler's full name on the Easter Egg, but Rooney's mother, Jo-anne, said the decision was "barmy" and "pathetic".

The mother-of-four, a Manchester United fan who has a tattoo of Eric Cantona on her arm, told the Manchester Evening News: "It's just pathetic that they wouldn't let a child have his name on an Easter egg for fear of upsetting Wayne Rooney. I can't imagine Wayne Rooney would care less."
