Sporting Kansas City have announced the re-signing of defender Michael Harrington.

The 24-year old left-sided backman has spent the last four seasons with the club and will now go around again in 2011.

Harrington, who has made 115 MLS appearances for Kansas, is excited about the challenges ahead the club formerly known as the Wizards.

"I'm really glad to be back," Harrington said. "I'm excited about the season. We've got a lot of good guys coming back and I'm sure the coaching staff has worked hard to bring some good players in.

"With the new stadium and everything else, I can feel a buzz around Kansas City about the team. I'm glad to be a part of it and ready to get back to work."
