Brede Hangeland admits beating the drop with Fulham was a better feeling than winning a championship in Denmark.

The Norway defender told fulhamfc.com: "It's hard to say, I have won championships in Denmark, I won a cup in Norway and I played Champions League football but I have to say, what we achieved and the feeling after the Portsmouth game felt even better.

"I think we knew how bad a thing it would have been to go down, so to go from the position we were in a couple of months before that game to surviving at the end, that was a big thing and ranks right up there in my career."
