Crystal Palace defender Brede Hangeland says Scott Dann deserves England recognition.
Dann, 27, has been watched by England scouts this season.
"Scott is a top player and a pleasure to play with," he told the Croydon Advertiser. "For me, he can't be far away from a sniff at the England team.
"He has been playing really well for a while now. He's a good player, but it's not for me to decide. I've seen loads of players over the years and he's certainly an honest lad who tries his best to improve all the time.
"He is in that golden age where he can still improve, too. I would be delighted if he was given a go."
