Napoli ace Marek Hamsik says he wants to go into the Christmas break top of the table.
The Partenopei have flown through to the Champions League knockouts, but neglected their Serie A duties with some very poor results, leaving them seven points adrift of third place.
"We want six points against Roma and Genoa to close on the top of the table," Hamsik wrote on his official website.
"We wanted to beat Novara at all costs, but at the end of the day were only able to get a draw, as we couldn't finish off our chances.
"There were so many scoring opportunities and we were unable to finish them off."
