West Ham United has confirmed that midfielder Dimitri Payet has been ruled out for three months with an ankle injury he suffered in the 1-1 draw against Everton on Saturday.
The 28-year-old suffered the injury from James McCarthy's tackle in the 50th minute of the contest.
The French international arrived from Ligue 1 club Marseille for £10.7million in the summer and has already scored five goals in 13 appearances for the Hammers.
