Hamlett pleased with Chicago Fire opening victory

Following their 3-1 come from behind win against FC Dallas, Chicago Fire boss Denis Hamlett was very happy with the way his team responded to going a goal behind. Speaking after the game Hamlett said: "Fantastic win, it's been a long time since we won here. It was a great win for us to start the season off. I think our guys showed some composure. I thought our guys dug in and we got some timely goals again. We got one right before the half, which gave us a little bit of a lift.

"We just readjusted ourselves at halftime, talked about a few things and came out with a good start to the second half and got another timely goal on the PK. It was a good ball by Timmy Ward to the back post. Justin (Mapp) makes a great run, puts the defender under pressure and a hand ball. Then Brian (McBride) finishes it off."
