Zidan, who had been linked with a move to Premier League side Fulham, has joined the Saudi based side after having struggled to make a mark with Hamburg.
Zidan said: "It's definitely one of the strongest Asian teams, and I am sure the next spell will be fruitful."
A move to Werder Bremen was interrupted by injury and although he spent a productive spell at FC Mainz, the club were relegated which saw him move to Hamburg.
The Egyptian forward revealed he knew Jeddah had been tracking him for a while and was glad the club had finally made their move.
He said: "I knew The Jeddah-based club have been targeting me since last season, and so I wasn't surprised when they made a bid."
