The Birmingham Mail says Hamburg are chasing Nigeria striker Ideye.
Behind Hamburg's interest in Ideye is their "Director of Professional Football" Peter Knäbel who spent five years with the Swiss FA as technical director at a time when Ideye was banging in goal after goal for Swiss Super League club Neuchâtel Xamax.
