Hamburg have joined the transfer battle for Hull City flop Hatem Ben Arfa.

L'Equipe says Ben Arfa, on-loan from Newcastle United, is now attracting bids from several European sides.

With the player's deal at St James' Park due to expire at the end of the season, he should be available on a cut-price deal in January.

French Ligue 1 side Nice were the first club to make a concrete offer, but are not thought to have the funds to back a bid. German Bundesliga outfit Hamburg could fund his £50,000 a week wage with Monaco and an unnamed Spanish side also showing interest.
