Hamburg defender Michael Mancienne hopes to win an England call.
The former Chelsea stopper hopes helping Hamburg secure European football for next season will help him to finally catch the eye of Roy Hodgson.
He told talkSPORT: "It can feel like [I'm out of sight]. You have to be playing Europa League or Champions League to really get recognition.
"That's a key thing and that's what Hamburg is aiming for this year. We've got a good chance of getting in the Europa League.
"But I think you are playing well then I think you should still be in the public eye and they should still be watching you. I don't think you should drop off the radar [if you play abroad]."
