Nottingham Forest are aiming to sign permanently Tim Erlandsson from Halmstads BK.
Erlandsson has been on-loan at Forest since September and the Championship club now aim to turn the deal into an outright transfer.
"It is true that we are negotiating with Nottingham, but I acknowledge no fee. It will be a win-win for both us and Tim," Halmstads chief Fredrik Andersson said.
"It's always fun to have trained players who are now on the international market.
"We are sorry that we've lost a good goalkeeper, but we have had a good dialogue with Tim and the day he gets homesick we would love to have him back."
