Sporting Kansas City have confirmed the capture of Haitian international Soni Mustivar.
The 25-year old defensive midfielder has joined the MLS side from Romanian outfit Petrolul Ploiesti and will occupy an international roster spot for the 2015 season.
French-born Mustivar, who has previously played with Bastia and Orleans, will bring some 'special qualities' to the SKC roster according to head coach Peter Vermes.
"We are always looking to add quality players to our team and we feel as if we have done that with the addition of Soni," Vermes said in a statement.
"I believe that once he gets acclimated to the way we play, there are some special qualities in his game that will become very apparent. I don't think it will take too long for him to adjust to our team because he just played the entire fall season with his previous club.
"All in all, I think he will be a good addition for us and I think it will be demonstrated over time."
