Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer admits the club are still interested in Leroy Sane.

The Manchester City winger has been tipped for a return to his homeland with the Bavarian giants.

Hainer told a fan club event in Simbach on Sunday: "Leroy Sane is a great player that we are interested in, which is a well-known fact.

"Now we have to see how he comes back after his injury."

The Germany international has been sidelined since the Community Shield, which has prohibited Bayern from making a move in both transfer windows.

This saga will surely continue over the summer once Sane has fully recovered from his injury.
