Hainault to draw on Tevez, Beckham experiences after completing Ross County switch

Andre Hainault has completed his transfer from Houston Dynamo to Ross County.

The 26-year old Canadian international has received his work permit to finalise the move to Scotland and is looking forward to testing himself after learning plenty about the league from former Dynamo teammate Adam Moffat - a former Staggies youngster.

"Growing up in Canada you do not see much Scottish football - they show England's Premier League," the Quebec-born defender told SunSport.

"But I learned a lot from Adam, who was my room-mate last year. He's been a big success in MLS and spoke highly of Ross County.

"The first thing he said was it's a beautiful part of the world."

And Hainault also said he would draw on past experiences when he played against the likes of Carlos Tevez and David Beckham to help him adapt in the Scottish Premier League.

"It's been a privilege to play for the national side against some great players and nations," he added.

"Against Argentina in Buenos Aires I had to face Gonzalo Higuain, Carlos Tevez and De Maria. It is a whole different speed and level of performance.

"Luckily Lionel Messi wasn't playing - he had just come off a long season- but they beat us 5-0.

"I've been lucky to play against some good players in MLS as well, like David Beckham and Robbie Keane. You try to learn from those experiences.

"The SPL will be different but I know there is a lot of quality. It is a fast pace. I'm looking forward to it very much."
