Real Madrid icon Guti feels the club is neglecting the Castilla talent.
Guti came through the youth system at the Santiago Bernabeu, along with Raul and Iker Casillas, but the goalkeeper is now the sole representative of the club's junior development.
"We haven't taken care of the young players, we have spent more money on signings than on forming new players," he said.
"The biggest sadness for me is to see just Casillas in the team."
The Besiktas midfielder also believes his former side has a lot of work to do to catch up with Barcelona.
"Madrid have some way to go to get to Barcelona's level. If they play an open game against Barca, it's very difficult for them to win," he said.
