Brynjar Gunnarsson is eager to clear up his future at Reading.
The 36-year-old midfielder is set to be named in Reading's Premier League squad.
Along with that the 36-year-old will also be offered the chance to coach with Royals after he completed his UEFA B Licence badges last summer.
The versatile midfielder told getreading: "Fitting into the squad is the main thing for me and hopefully I can play some part.
"At the moment I'm not stressing over it - we will just see how it goes over the next couple of weeks.
"I imagine it will be sorted out, hopefully quickly, when we get back from Portugal.
"I want to be in the 25-man squad and involved as a team and I'll probably be more involved in coaching somewhere too."
