Dutch great Ruud Gullit says Donny van de Beek is no guarantee for success with Manchester United.
Van de Beek won praise for his debut in Saturday's friendly defeat to Aston Villa.
Gullit wrote for De Telegraaf: “I am curious about Donny van de Beek at Manchester United and what immediately came to mind is that he must be careful not to become second Davy Klaassen.
"Van de Beek is a younger copy of Davy in terms of game. He chose Everton, but the play of those two works best in an offensive team and therefore it should be easier for Donny at United than Klaassen at the time at Everton.
“United plays a game in which Donny can flourish, but at the same time he remains dependent on his fellow players as supporters. And can he play in his favourite spot? Because it is now occupied by the Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes.
"Since his arrival in the winter he has started to run at Manchester United."
