Real Santa Cruz's Guillermo Denis Beltrán, a 24-year-old Colombian attacking winger, has died of cardiorespiratory arrest after collapsing on the training pitch.
Real Santa Cruz compete in the Bolivian first division.
The captain of Real Santa Cruz, Adolfo Soria Galvarro, recounted the episode: “He was training normally and collapsed. They tried to resuscitate him, but he died when he was transferred to a clinic."
Beltran passes away after a cardiac arrest in the same week as Fiorentina director Joe Barone lost his life after suffering a cardiac arrest and stroke on Sunday.
