Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin admits his players are beginning to flag.
The Friulani are falling off the pace and were beaten 2-0 by AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, while Lazio leapfrogged them into third place in Serie A.
"If Napoli win six in a row and Inter return to victory, the pressure does not grow on us, because we know the reality of Italian football. We never kidded ourselves.
"We are facing a very determined Novara side and must be wary of their tactical approach, as they have a particular style of playing.
"I could make a few changes in terms of how my players are set out. This is the time to hold on tight, not the moment to feel the fatigue. We've got to recover as much as possible and give 100 per cent.
"We have players who know how to do well, but the attitude and stamina becomes crucial at this stage of the season.""We knew that our position in the table is and remains wonderful, but that stronger teams would inevitably get back into the race," said the Coach.
