Bayern Munich are monitoring Xabi Alonso's situation at Real Madrid. The midfielder is refusing to consider new contract talks with Real and could be moved on in the summer.
El Economista says incoming Bayern coach Pep Guardiola wants to bring Xabi to Munich, which would allow him to drop Javi Martinez into a defensive position.
A return to Liverpool has also been mooted for Xabi.
